There is a turning point you can feel before you can name it. In boardrooms, studios, classrooms, and community hubs, women are not waiting for permission to learn AI. They are convening. Resourcing one another. Building the future in public. I am attending the CREATE Conference 2025. To me, this is not just an event. This is a movement!

And this is what it’s giving:

Scholarships for Women of Color offered by a conference founded by a white woman who chose to put inclusion into practice. All women of color who express interest may receive funding, up to the full cost of a General Admission ticket, with free pre-conference programs. That is not a footnote. This is a cultural setting.

Apply if interested, before funding runs out.

Access is a start. But equity deepens when women of color not only enter the room but also hold the mic, shape the agenda, and lead the decisions.

These are co-conspirators. Not bystanders. The organizers are explicit. Meet people who complement your expertise. Who knows that done is better than perfect! Creates opportunities beyond your current network. Accelerates your implementation timeline. This is how movements scale. Through trust and throughput. Not just talk.

This is clarity over noise. The theme is clear: Create what’s next for your career, your business, your well-being, your community, and your collaborations.

From following trends to setting them

Women are using AI to design supply chains that waste less. To build small businesses that compete with giants. To translate services across languages. To make art and media that are more representative. To reimagine care work and public impact. When women lead with AI, we tend to bring in values that compound over time. Inclusion. Empathy. Evidence and sustainability. The outcome is not only profit, it is possibility.

Many of the women at CREATE are also heads of households and caregivers. When they learn AI, the ripple is generational. The gains are not only professional, they change how families adapt. How communities thrive. And how equity is woven into daily life.

Why this conference is different

The agenda is built for implementation, not inspiration theater.

That last piece is everything. Most conferences stop at applause. This one insists on after.

In an AI era obsessed with pilots and proofs of concept, the real differentiator is who can move from prototype to practice at scale. CREATE is engineered for that leap.

If you are attending, here is how to show up

  1. Arrive with a use case. Leave with a workflow. Write one business problem on a single index card. Spend the weekend shipping the first draft.
  2. Find two co-conspirators. One who shares your domain. One who does not. Commit to a 30-60-90 check-in rhythm.
  3. Protect your upside. Capture your prompts. Document your processes. Clarify data ethics. Ask the legal questions now. Not later.
  4. Tend your nervous system. Sustainable leaders outlast hype cycles. Schedule recovery with the same fidelity as sessions.
  5. Pay it forward. Share notes with a founder who could not be in the room, especially women of color, caregivers, and early-stage builders.

Access matters

The organizers released $250 off General Admission with the code KICKDOWNDOORS, and, again, scholarships for Women of Color. All who express interest may receive funding, up to the full ticket price. Apply if interested, before funding runs out.

Toward that end, She Leads AI is more than a conference:

The CREATE Conference is a living extension of that mission. An opportunity for women to transform their formidable AI knowledge into impactful action. To find collaborators for projects and platforms. And to lead one another to the next level in their applied AI journey. And yes, it’s also about the joy of in-person interaction with women who truly get one another.

The larger arc

AI is not simply a toolset. It is an infrastructure for choices. Who gets invited, funded, trained, credited, and protected will define what this technology becomes. CREATE is one proof point that women are not just in attendance, we are in authorship.

I am going because I want to live in a world where women do not have to ask if they belong in AI. They know it. And they build. I am going because movements are not abstractions. They are made of choices. Like offering scholarships, forming accountability pods, and drawing legal guardrails that protect the future before it arrives. I am going because the work ahead is serious! But it is also joyful. And joy is a form of power.

This is a movement. See you there.

It’s not about whether women belong in AI. It’s about whether the AI we build belongs to all of us, shaped by women’s values and the world we want to inherit.

Grateful to Anne Murphy and She Leads AI | Official 🌸 for building this space and inviting us all to shape what’s next together.
